Beautiful bag, zipper needs work

My first DN bag and it’s a beauty! The straps feel thinner than LF bags. I’m just having some troubles with the main zipper. The placement makes sense in the design, but bc of the placement, it’s hard to zip/unzip. The little “flap” that overlaps to hide the zipper in the design always seems to get in the way. I thought maybe over time it would get easier but it hasn’t. I feel as though the main zipper should have been placed elsewhere for easier access. ( like the top of the bag or behind the towers of the castle) A gorgeous bag that will receive many compliments though!!
